IGBOS ARE NOT KILLERS FORMER GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE SAYS. 

Recently, Dr Olusegun Mimiko (former Ondo State Governor) debunked the news that he is planning to join APC.

According to some reports, Dr Olusegun was expected to decamp from ZLP (Zenith Labour Party) to APC (All Progressives Congress).

However, Mimiko allegedly held series of meetings in Abuja with Abubakar Malami, Mai Mala Buni as well as two other governors to prepare the ground for his defection to APC.

Sources had also claimed that part of the reasons the APC leadership wants Mimiko to join the party is because they feel the incumbent Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu is opposing the federal government on some national issues.

Igbos Are Not Killers-Okorocha.

Former Governor of Imo State (Rochas Okorocha) has warned against the ethnic profiling of Igbo people, insisting that they are not killers.

Okorocha made this statement on Thursday, during the centenary celebration in honour of the former Premier of Eastern Nigeria (late Michael Okpara) in Abuja.

Nigeria practicing rotational presidency – Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya Bello disclosed that Nigeria has been practicing a rotational presidency since 1999.

According to Bello, Nigeria needs a credible and patriotic leader to fix the myriads of challenges affecting the nation.

The governor made this statement after he met President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Briefing the media after meeting with Buhari, Bello said the position of the president should not be determined by zoning but by sincerity and competence.

Usman Baba Gives N6.5 million To Families Of 14 Deceased Policemen.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba has presented cheques worth N6.5 million to 14 families of deceased policemen.

The officers lost their lives in the line of duty in Kaduna State.

Commissioner of Police in Kaduna state (Umar Muri) presented the cheques on Thursday.
